Emily Roberts is Amia Capital’s Chief Financial Officer. She joined the firm in 2022 and is a member of the Executive Committee. As CFO, she oversees all corporate finance and accounting functions.
Prior to joining Amia Capital, Ms. Brown served as Senior Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis, at LPL Financial, a leader in the retail financial advisory market and the largest independent broker-dealer in the United States. She also spent over 15 years at JPMorgan Chase in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President in the consumer and business banking Treasury division focused on model analytics, and vice president in the consumer banking financial planning and analysis division where she coordinated multi-year forecasts across various business lines.
She holds an executive MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting, both from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
Michael Anderson is Amia Capital’s Chief Revenue Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. As CRO, he leads the firm’s global growth, distribution, and strategy. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, building and leading businesses across wealth management, asset management, and institutional advisory.
Before joining Amia Capital, Mr. Cassler served as Chief Growth Officer and Partner at Cerity Partners, where he was a member of the firm’s Leadership Team responsible for driving enterprise growth strategy, sales, and execution. Prior to that, he was Chief Strategy & Growth Officer at Mariner, overseeing firmwide expansion initiatives across all business units. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cassler held senior leadership roles at John Hancock Investments and Manulife Investment Management, including President of Financial Institutions and Advisory Solutions and Head of Institutional Distribution for the U.S. and EMEA regions.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Connecticut State University, an M.B.A. from Sacred Heart University, and completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program in Authentic Leadership Development. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in wealth management from Columbia University.
He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), The Outthinker Network, and serves on the boards of Babson College’s Bertarelli Institute, the Sacred Heart University Welch College of Business & Technology, Montrose School and Junior Achievement Americas. He is also an advisor to Anasova and an Honorary Trustee of the Boston Children’s Museum.
Kai Chen is Head of Product Strategy at Amia Capital overseeing a wide range of products and solutions across Amia Capital’s various business lines.
Rejoining Amia Capital in 2024, he brings over three decades of experience as one of the leading innovators in the wealth and retirement space. He founded Goal Based Investors, an innovative lead-generated platform that brings together retail investors, RIAs and investment managers. Prior to that, he led the defined contribution business at BGI (later acquired by BlackRock) where he invented the first cost of retirement index, CORI, and developed the award-winning iRetire strategy. Mr. Castille also held previous roles at Amia Capital as a Managing Director before being named Chief Investment Officer of Amia Capital Funds Management, where he built Amia Capital’s multi-asset, multi-manager investment platform.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Louisiana State University and his MBA from Loyola University New Orleans.
James Carter serves as a Senior Advisor at Amia Capital providing support to our executive team on key initiatives. Previously he served as the Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for Amia Capital’s corporate, risk, operational, legal and people functions and the ensuing controls framework necessary to deliver a consistent experience for clients.
An active angel investor, advisor and board member to several U.S. and U.K. fintech start-ups, Mr. Condron joined Amia Capital in 2021, bringing more than 30 years of experience in technology innovation in the financial services industry.
He retired from BlackRock in January 2020 after 18 years working in a number of senior roles, including Aladdin® Chief Architect, Chief Software Engineer and Chief Technology Officer. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Aladdin Wealth Tech, spearheading the creation and implementation of data-driven sales solutions for the U.S. wealth advisory business.
Earlier in his career, he worked in capital markets and derivatives product strategy at firms including Republic National Bank of New York, Mercadien Capital and Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Mr. Condron graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1987 and is currently a member of the President's Leadership Council for RIT.
Josh Emanuel is Amia Capital’s Chief Investment Officer. In this role, Mr. Emanuel leads the firm’s investment activities, including asset allocation, investment strategy, manager research, portfolio management and quantitative alpha research. He chairs the Amia Capital Investment Committee.
Mr. Emanuel re-joined Amia Capital in 2015 and has 20 years of industry experience. From 2010 to 2015, he served as Chief Investment Officer of The Elements Financial Group, LLC (TEG), where he developed and managed a variety of outcome-oriented investment strategies and exchange-traded funds. Prior to his tenure at TEG, Mr. Emanuel served in several roles at Amia Capital from 2004-2010, including head of manager research, head of strategy for Amia Capital funds management, and co-chairman of the Amia Capital Funds Management Investment Committee. Before 2004, he was responsible for international manager research for Jeffrey Slocum & Associates, Inc.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Pittsburgh and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Sarah Bennett is Amia Capital’s Chief Client Officer with responsibility for overseeing the firm’s client solutions and marketing functions. She is a member of the Amia Capital Executive Committee and is co-founder of the Amia Capital Gender Diversity Awareness Committee.
Ms. Emkin joined the firm in 2008. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Lewis & Clark College and holds a master’s degree and an MBA from Claremont Graduate University. She is a board member of the Women in Institutional Investments Network (WIIIN).

Matthew Turner
Co-Chief Operating Officer & Co-Head of Alternative Managed Accounts
Matthew Turner serves as Co-Chief Operating Officer, working closely with leadership to support growth, as well as enhanced scale and efficiency across Amia Capital and Co-Head of Alternative Managed Accounts. He is a member of the firm’s global leadership team and sits on both the Operating and the Alternatives Oversight Committees.
Prior to joining the firm in December 2023 as part of the Lyxor U.S. acquisition, Mr. Hubschman served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Products and Solutions at Lyxor U.S. Before joining Lyxor in 2018, he held various roles within Deutsche Bank Group including leading the global investment solutions team within global markets with responsibility for structuring alternative investment and risk premia solutions for institutional clients. Prior to that role, he served as head of product in the quantitative risk solutions group within Deutsche Asset Management where he helped co-found the firm’s alternative risk premia investment platform. He also served as the head of platform management for the retail structured products group within ABN AMRO, Inc. He began his career as an associate within the structured finance and derivatives practice of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP.
Mr. Hubschman earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Albany, an MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, and a J.D. from New York Law School.
Andrew Parker is the Chief Executive Officer of Amia Capital Advisors, where he provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the firm’s global investment solutions and analytics businesses. Since joining Amia Capital in 2005, Mr. Schwarz has held numerous senior executive roles, playing a critical role in building and expanding the firm’s business with a particular focus on wealth management, retirement solutions, and retail alternatives. Throughout his tenure, he has been dedicated to ensuring consistency with Amia Capital’s core mission while driving disciplined, sustainable global growth.
Under his leadership, Amia Capital’s strategy is anchored by three core pillars: strategic innovation, a culture of excellence, and disciplined growth. These pillars guide the firm’s efforts to deliver differentiated investment solutions tailored to the evolving needs of institutional investors, financial intermediaries, advisors, and their clients worldwide. Mr. Schwarz oversees all business segments with a commitment to fostering a client-centric culture and advancing Amia Capital’s reputation as a trusted partner in the investment community.
Mr. Schwarz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Hamilton College and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
Sarah Bennett is a Managing Director at Amia Capital and oversees the operations and risk management team. She is a member of Amia Capital’s Executive Committee and the Investment Oversight Committee, and chairs Amia Capital’s Operating Committee. She has extensive industry experience in risk management and portfolio construction within the alternative assets industry.
Prior to joining Amia Capital in 2013, Ms. Simpson performed risk analysis and designed and developed risk and reporting systems for Merrill Lynch’s hedge fund development and management group (“HFDMG”). She then became the executive vice president of Risk Fundamentals, a risk transparency software company spun-out of Merrill’s HFDMG. Previously, she was a risk analyst at Kenmar Global Investments. Earlier in her career, she spent three years with NASA specializing in space science and astronomical research at the Space Telescope Science Institute.
Ms. Simpson earned a bachelor’s degree in astrophysics from Yale University and a master’s degree in information and telecommunication systems from Johns Hopkins University.
Christopher Hayes is Amia Capital’s Executive Chairman. He joined the firm in January 2021, serving as Chief Executive Officer until May 2025.
As an industry partner at Motive Partners, a next-generation fintech investment firm, he led Motive’s investment in Amia Capital. Mr. Stewart also serves as a board member of With Intelligence. Previously, he was the Executive Chairman of Global Shares, a global provider of equity compensation management solutions for companies and their employees, which was successfully sold to JPMorgan in 2022. He also served as Chairman of the Board and Advisory Board member of Finantix (now part of InvestCloud), a firm specializing in technology for banking and insurance companies.
Previously, Mr. Stewart co-led Blackrock’s Alternative Investment Platform (BAI) and chaired the BAI Executive Committee; he also worked as Managing Director and Head of Liquid Alternatives at Credit Suisse and was President and Chief Operating Officer at Man Investments.
He earned his Doctor of Law (JD) from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
Ashley Simmons is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Chief Operating Officer, working closely with leadership to support growth, as well as enhanced scale and efficiency across Amia Capital. She is a member of the Global Leadership Team and the chair of the Enterprise Risk Committee.
Prior to joining Amia Capital in 2022, Ms. Valva worked as a technology leader at several financial services firms such as BlackRock and the NYSE/Pacific Coast Stock Exchange. She has extensive experience in information technology, software development, risk management, data protection, organizational change and project management with extensive knowledge of technology systems and risk mitigation.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Oregon State University.
